Vanessa Peacock
Physiotherapist, BSc Kin, MScPT, IMS
Vanessa is a Physiotherapist, university course instructor, and examiner for the European Pain Federation’s pain physiotherapy diploma exam. She has over eight years of experience treating complex pain, musculoskeletal injuries (both acute and long-standing), post-surgical recovery, and geriatric rehabilitation. In addition, she has a background in nutritional medicine.
She is certified in dry needling and has completed advanced training in manual therapy, medical acupuncture, and therapeutic exercise for osteoarthritis. Vanessa specializes in evidence-based, holistic, and client-centered care, focusing on functional, goal-oriented therapy.
Her work includes original research on complex back pain, which she has presented at the World Physiotherapy Congress (2021) and the European Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (2024).
As a Salt Spring Island local, Vanessa is proud to return to her community and contribute to the well-being of the island she grew up on. In a session with her, you can expect a thorough assessment and a tailored approach combining active exercise therapy with supportive hands-on techniques. She offers services in English, German, and Japanese.
