Our Mission

Nikki Mallow Physiotherapist at Gulf Island Physiotherapy

Nikki Mallow

Physiotherapist, MPT, MKin, BKin

Nikki grew up in a small town in Ontario, where her love of sports grew through soccer, sailing, skiing, competitive dance, and rugby. This passion led her to pursue both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, where she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Rugby Team and the Dance Team.

During her Master of Kinesiology program, Nikki gained hands-on experience as a strength and conditioning coach for the UBC Varsity athletes and worked as a kinesiologist in a senior’s retirement home. She then furthered her education by completing her Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) at UBC. Upon graduation, Nikki joined a paediatric physiotherapy clinic in North Vancouver where she cared for infants, toddlers, children with neurological and physical disabilities, as well as clients recovering from sports injuries and concussions.

Now, fulfilling her dream of settling down in a small town, Nikki is excited to support the Salt Spring Island community. She is passionate about helping her clients reach their goals through individualized care and always strives to keep her sessions fun and engaging.
